Which isn't strictly true since it wasn't particularly windy but that song is stuck in my head since the movie was on last week in the middle of the night. Now I am stuck with the whole 2 lines I can remember...aaarrrggghhh...I hate earwig tunes.
So just back from the state capital. I was there for a friends birthday but it was particulary successful for a number of reasons.
1. We ate our body weight in Turkish food- Pashas in Elizabeth St...we ordered the chargrilled banquet for 2 and the seafood banquet for 3 ( there were 5 of us not just me and the birthday girl!!!)
2. We drank a wine lake.
3. We chatted enough for a whole CWA national get together.
4. We shopped.
so......no food pics...sorry....but the food was really really good and there was PLENTY of it.
I got this. What does it look like to you?
If you said it was a pirate chest and a cat you would be making my day. No other answers please... my mind is set. I got it at the market. It is really a wine box but it looks fairly piratical and treasury doesn't it? It has treasure in it waiting for my class of pirates to solve the pirate riddles and follow the map. But they have to write some pretty bloody good stories first too...life isn't all chocolate gold coins and fake gold rings. ( They have to write G rated stories so they probably wont be "bloody" and good!!!!)
This is a different version of treasure in the box............
We went to Big W ( I love Big W) and I got 2 bags of this sort of stuff....
Everything cost $1 so my prize box is getting a big injection of stuff and all the packets of insects and sea creatures etc are going to be the basis of some story problems in maths and some other challenges. This is only a litlle sample, I didn't open the other bags.
In case you think I am crazy....I didn't even win at shopping this trip. Another friend bought a LOT more than me for her classroom needs.
We had a nice time. Here are some artistic photos I took while others went for an invigorating walk ( pshaw) or watched their kid play netball. Actually if I had had a jumper I would have done that but it was freeeeeeeezing so I took some pics and then sat in the car and listened to Sylvester which is my latest audio book.
I also accidentally bought 5 shirts/tops and 4 books. Honestly officer...it was an accident. I don't know how it happened. One minute I was walking down the street and the next thing I knew my mastercard was overheating in my hand and I had a collection of bags to take back to the car. That's my story and I'm sticking to it...do you think the judge and jury will believe me?????
So .... nice weekend was had by all. And if I can just get about 15 hours sleep, and a massive Tattslotto win, I will be all recovered.
Haha, I think a lot of us have shopping accidents!

Oh, I have shopping trips like that. It's awful, isn't it? "I have no idea how that ended up in my basket. Honest!"
