Finishing Off....Still.

I though my campaign of finishing off odds and ends of stuff would mean my supermarket bill would be less. I was wrong. Even subtracting the Easter Eggs my bill was actually higher but there was cat food on sale and so I stocked up...now they are in finishing off mode. However the finishing off is going well. I have finished off some old bottles of wine...that was a good idea! The shampoo finishing is finished...back to my $2 a bottle stash again...thank goodness. I really didn't like the other shampoos. Not that they didn't do the same job as any other but I didn't like the smell. Morning is bad enough without tropical fruits or even worse...coconut and avocado.....blech.

The conditionor battle is almost over but the toothpaste one rages on. I don't like spearmint flavoured things so I am considering brusingmy teeth 4 times a day over the week of holiday to use it all up. That should be pretty effective in curbing the desire to eat chocolate...toothpaste and choc aren't a good combo. But not as bad as toothpaste and orange juice.

Various face creams are getting a thrashing. Night cream left overs make excellent hand cream. I ma thinking tha tI might even keep that up to slow down the creeping effects of 'old lady hands'. If it is supposed to keep your face wrinkle free and youthfully fresh it shoudl do the same for your hands too. I have used up 3 almost finished jars and have unearthed a few more. If I keep this up my shelves might even have gaps on them.

I am going on a reading binge. I have just listened to the first 3  Amelia Peabody novels by Elizabeth Peters and I am now going to have to read all the others. I  ust find my Egyptian themed lying around trousres to wear while I read! I have the 2 books in the series that were last published to read as well so that might keep my week full. Not that I don't have a billion things to do...but I might just read instead. I have done my marking...sooooooooooooo nice to have it finished and no hanging over my head. Go planning to do but I am leaving that till later. from experience I know that planning too early is a total waste. It gives me time to think up a whole new set of stuff and partially forget what I had originally planned and so I end up with too much and not enough time. Since school is pretty much too much to do and not enought time I don't need to add to the problem myself.

Now that I have started thinking about those books I have to go and read. The power of suggestion is strong in this one Obiwan. ( or words to that effect.)

Computer ate my post.

I am finishing off. I am finishing half bottles of shampoo and tubes of various things...toothpaste and hand cream and face stuff, and jars or gloop and squeezy bottles of stuff. I acquired a whole lot of stuff when mum started packing...nothing wrong with any of it...she just wasn't packing partial bottles of stuff...except in bags for me to take away. So I decided...no more buying till it is all used up. I also decided if I really didn't like the item I could chuck it out...the vile cherry "flavoured" facial scrub HAD to go.

So I am kind of doing the same with the freezer and the pantry cupboard. This is going less well because I have eaten the nicer stuff and am down to the things that are there for a good reason...I don't like them that much. Possums and outdoor cats are doing well......3 cans of Spam....what was I thinking??? I don't like spam. Outside cats do though.

This is how my feet went to school one day last week.

I noticed by recess, the kids noticed around lurch time and no one on staff noticed at all.

I came home another day after wearing new jeans to find my bum had the imprint of a set of tags - I had wondered what kept scratching me. Some one at least told me about the tags on my shirt hanging out so that was a bonus. I shouldn't be allowed out of the house...or I need one of those dressing machines like they have in Wallace and Gromit!

There is a new level of acceptance growing in the feline population as you can see by the photo...ignore the phone cables and computer desk covered in  rubbish. Look at all 3 cats within hissing distance of each other...and not hissing.

This is where Caramello and Cleo went when Auntie 2paw tried to take them to the vet last week.


Down at the bottom of the garden in the look out far far away from her. I have to trap them inside tomorrow for their next attempt.

Muppin helped 2paw sew the quilt.

Caterwauling/Caterdooring

MrsDrWho has been extremely busy, mostly with the new kitten, reports, the school fair, Angry Birds, nine episodes of new Hawaii 50 and sleeping. 

So while she is busy cooking tea to feed the masses (and cooking isn't her forte, though she does feed masses very efficiently) I have a video of Muppin doing her party trick for your amusement. She does this all the time, it sounds like she's being poorly treated, but believe me, she's not!!!
